Machining is a class of material-working processes that involves using a power-driven machine tool, such as a lathe, milling machine, or drill to shape metal. We are a contract manufacturer assisting in design, development and production critical components.

All part manufacturing has a need for machining of some kind. This may be lathe turning which generates circular sections by rotating the work piece while a cutting tool removes material. It could involve drilling or punch press operations to produce holes; milling machines which cut away material utilizing rotating cutters; or CNC milling machines which uses computer programming to produce complex forms and shapes into the material. Saws, grinders, threading and finishing methods are also incorporated into the metal working process.

More recent, advanced machining includes electrical discharge machining (EDM) electro-chemical erosion, plasma and water-jet cutting of metal to produce tooling and fixtures. Usually several of these methods are combined to manufacture tooling and parts with extremely close tolerances and quality. Quick Draw takes great pride in being a manufacturer providing these capabilities.
